BYLD is the construction operating system for builders running $2M to $10M residential and light commercial projects. One place for the schedule, the budget, the plans, the change orders, and the owner. Not six.
BYLD combines scheduling, estimating, budgets, documents and plan markup, change orders, punch lists, and owner communication into one platform that runs on the web and on iPhone, with the iOS app free on the App Store. A project starts as an estimate and stays the same record through closeout, so the budget you track is the estimate you built, and the change order you price moves both the money and the schedule.
Underneath it is a shared cost spine: a 253-code cost taxonomy that every estimate line, budget line, invoice, and draw maps to. That is what makes the numbers add up across the job instead of only inside one screen.
Builders and their teams work in the Builder Portal. Homeowners get a separate, simplified Owner Portal for progress and budget, so a client never has to learn your system.
Who it is not for. Heavy civil, infrastructure, and large commercial general contractors. Those teams need enterprise platforms priced on annual construction volume, and BYLD is not one. Saying so up front saves everybody a call.
Every finished job also makes the next estimate better, because the actuals feed the same engine that produced the estimate.
Those numbers are enforced as automated regression gates on every code change, so accuracy cannot quietly degrade between releases. The ledger behind project money is append-only, with corrections recorded as reversals rather than edits, which means the financial history of a job cannot be rewritten after the fact.
BYLD is made by BYLD Inc., a Delaware C-Corporation based in Nashville, Tennessee, and it is in early access. We would rather tell you what is running today than what is on a roadmap. The AI assistance is exactly that, assistive, and its output should be checked by a qualified professional before it prices work.
Accuracy figures are from BYLD's internal validation harness on same-tier residential projects. Your results depend on your cost history and how the job is scoped.
